Afterglow

Afterglow focuses on the splitting and phenomenological encounter focusing on the splitting and phenomenological encounter of light. How light acts within a space, how we share, inhabit and interact with that space. This investigation takes places through theoretical research and a series of practical bodies of work. These are available to view in galleries by clicking on the thumbnails below.  These prints each act as a unique record a performance of light. The darkroom acts as a parallel space to the theatre, each space lies dormant waiting for light, of different colours, to active the space and perform within its boundaries.

Installation

The Afterglow installation places the viewer directly into the space of the photographic process of light drawing. Combining fixed photographic images and light installations to create an immersive encounter with light.

Darkroom Photographic Prints

These prints each act as a unique record a performance of light. The darkroom acts as a parallel space to the theatre, each space lies dormant waiting for light, of different colours, to active the space and perform within its boundaries.

Pinhole Based Images

Creating a specially designed camera for the project, the Pinhole work combines different beams of light overlaying on a single sheet of film. The beams of light cross within the camera, creating the inspiration for the Afterglow Installation.
