Scott delivers talks that explore both his own photographic practice and wider themes in photography. Drawing on his experience as an educator, he creates sessions that are engaging and accessible for audiences of all sizes. Talks can be offered as a stand-alone event or as part of a series, making them ideal for camera clubs, photography societies, and educational settings.
Below are details of talks that are currently on offer:
documentary vision
Photography’s power lies in its ability to tell stories. This talk explores two of Scott’s projects, focusing on: the changing landscapes of European cities and the vibrant world of UK airshows. Scott also discusses how photobooks can shape and convey these stories, offering insight into the creative process behind each project.
European streets
An in-depth look at Scott’s Omniscient London and Detachment Trip projects, exploring street photography, the urge to document the world around us and how people use public spaces across Europe. Scott shares key images, the influences behind his approach.
capturing flight
This talk focuses on Scott’s work photographing UK airshows, exploring how aircraft, crowds, and locations each tell unique stories. He demonstrates a range of techniques — from digital images to pinhole and experimental darkroom processes — revealing fresh ways to capture the excitement of flight.
